My Dreams say its time to see some music.

So, the night before last, I had a dream that Mr. Jake Moffat started playing again and opened for Billy Joe Shaver at supposedly the Tumbleweed, but it looked more like a broken down rat hole bar. Then last night, I was dual drumming with Tommy Lee. He was actually singing, and I was playing with his drummer now . . but he was looking back at me and diggin what I was throwin' down.

fuckin a.
Tommy thinks I'm a bad ass.

So, I am in need of some live fuckin music. BAD! I will get my fix at the dog tonight.

Then a night off on Thursday to clean house, then its on like donkey kong this weekend.
Last weekend before I become this lovely lady's husband.

Who's gonna get the drunk Okie award?
hum . . . no tellin . .
but I will definitely be in the top 3.

kick balls.

Thanks to Mama PJ for the pics.

Looks like the Brandon Jenkins Benefit went off well. Alot of musicians were there and looks like it was a blast for everyone. Jason looks great! Hopefully they were able to get Brandon and crew a leg up on getting all there shit back. Theives are some of the worst fuckin people in the world. We all work hard to get what we have, and they just come along, break in to a trailer and steal the TOOLS that musicians use to make a living. Bastards.

Anyway, I am going to check out Brandon and Linville at the dog tomorrow.

Its been over 2 full weeks since I have seen any live music. I am jonesin'.

Rock n mutha fuckin roll.

my bach party is gonna be a blast.
come one come all.

New video by King's X

Check this shit out. The video takes awhile to load, but its worth it. They freaking rule.

I love it, and am going to miss it. Truely I will, but they are touring alot now, so hopefully I will catch them again. And what better excuse than to be on my honeymoon in Lake Tahoe. I think I can be okay with that!
;-)

That drive was not fun, but definitely worth it.

This was it. After 10 hours of either snow packed roads, black ice, white outs, or not knowing where the road is . . to later on when it was just sleeting and raining and then worrying about hydroplaning . . . Caroline about had to pry my fingers off of the damn steering wheel. I am sore today from being so tense for so long. BUT, even though it sucked, it was completely worth it to see my family. It was a great trip! And I think that meeting the rest of my family gave Caroline a little more insight into why I am the way I am. Gots a crazy side and a serious side. And its been a hell of a ride trying to find out a balance, but now finally at 28, I think I have found it.

Anyway, got a bach party this weekend.
Then our wedding!!! Yeah!
then the honeymoon, then Caroline's sister's family will be here and they will have a baby, then christmas break, then Caroline's bday, then New Year's.
Gonna be a busy December . . well, fun busy, relaxing busy.

All is well.
I'm just glad we got home safe.

Another bad ass show that I will miss.

These guys are going to be at Bricktown Live this Wednesday. They aren't a jam band, but they are a bit happy, hippie, pretty, twirl around music. I dig it. Makes me want to be in Colorado skiing. Its ski bum music. Save the trees, fuck polution type of thing. I only have 2 of their CD's but have been through about 3 each. Wore them out.

Anyway, check it out if your here.
Ironically, I will be in Colorado. . . not skiing though.

We all know that I will be missing the show on Dec. 12th that is there, of course it doesn't bother me as much because I will be on my honeymoon. But Kings X, the band that kept me from driving off the road so many late drunken nights. They'll get ya goin. Kept me alive for about 3 or 4 years. Talk about a power trio.

I have Tunes!!!!

So, thanks to my good friend Robert, I have a CD player in my car. He gave it to me quite a long time ago, but I installed it Saturday. It was just like I was in high school again, messing with my stereo system. I got it in and then drove around quite a bit on Saturday. It rocks. It's louder and clearer. and it has a remote. Come to think of it, this is my first CD player ever. I have always had cassette players and then just used my portable CD player to listen. Finally, no more fuckin shitty radio. I can listen to real music while I am driving now. Just in time too, cause we are going 11 hours to Colorado come Wednesday. Trip will be fun . . First for Caroline to meet my brother and his family. And the first to be in Colorado too. Should be a hoot. Then back here and the following weekend will be my bachelor party, then the next weekend will be the wedding!!! Wooo hooo! Finally, then its off to Lake Tahoe for a week. Gonna be a blast! Every bit of it.

Have a great Monday, and a wonderful rest of this short week.

Back in College . . .

Sometimes when I walk across campus, I want to actually be going to a class. But then I think about the homework.
fuckin homework.
Or the boring ass "must-have" classes.
I do remember having my watch alarm set for 4:20 everyday for about a year and a half.
That helped keep things interesting.

I mean, come on. A 3 hour design class. You gotta be creative right?

college.
interesting times.

I have no clue what I am about to type.

So . . .

Marriage.
I am so excited that I can't see straight. I am so fucking ready to have that bad ass ring on my finger, forever attaching me to my beautiful lady. I just love that I am going to share the rest of my life with this lady. We have lots of fun together. We have ups and downs, but we deal with them very good. If we keep the lines of communication open, nothing will stop us from reaching that 50th anniversary. If the lines shut down, that is when the D-word starts coming up. I know, you can never say never. But I do believe with all of my heart and soul that I will be as happy as I am now, when I am all wrinkled up sitting in a rockin chair on a porch somewhere and I turn to see her at 80. I smile at her and my dentures fall out because I forgot to put that goup stuff on them. I can be a handful to take care of . . . and so can she. ;-)

Some of you might know that I have been trying to stop smoking. Well, I pretty much have whipped its ass. Even at the dog, I had a couple of puffs and put it out. Couldn't do it. Sometimes I really want one, but then I just hold strong and don't. I did it 1. because its healthier, 2. The smell reminds C of someone else, 3. I wanted to give up a vice of some sort while Mr. Boland was having to give up everything. Just to like, I don't know, be there along with him in some sort of small way. Anyway, I think I have done it. I may slip every once in awhile, but I never really was a "smoker". I just liked it when I was drinking. So, I feel better about myself. Whatever, it made myself and my lady happy . . . and probably my mom as well.

Don't think I am going to give up the other anytime soon though. One vice at a time dude. And like Willie said. . . "I quit smoking what was killing my family."

word Willie.
word.

have a great Thursday.
feel the breeze.

Apply to any college

Little David is in the 5th grade. Yesterday morning
when the teacher asked the children what their fathers
did for a living. All the typical answers came up;
fireman, policeman, salesman, auto mechanic, etc.

The teacher noticed that little David was being
uncharacteristically quiet and so she asked him about
his father.

"My father's an exotic dancer in a gay bar and takes
off all his clothes in front of other men.

Sometimes, if the offers really good, he'll go out to
the alley with some guy and do it with him for money."

The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement,
hurriedly set the other children to work on some
coloring, and took little David aside to ask him, "Is
that really true about your father?"

"No," said David, "He coaches for OU, but I was too
embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids."

Badwater: Oct. 7 with my Mom in attendance.

Flying this and Seeing this.

Dad, doesn't do too shabby for himself.

I went on a ski trip that lasted 3 days. . . last night.

I had one dream last night, and even after I would wake up and then go back to sleep, I would go right back into the dream. I was snow skiing all night. It ruled, although my dream spanned about 3 days, it was a killer trip and would love to go back and visit. I hope that everyone that was there gets to go again. Jamie and I had a blast. Caroline enjoyed. Just a great trip all around. The snow was great too. Condo was fantastic. I got the snow bug.

It was a great weekend with my lady, my best man, and my friends, and soon to be family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Poppastan who had a heart attack. Get well soon Stan!

Well, I just got some more bad news. . .
Make sure you don't take any minute for granted.
Cause you might not be here the next.
Prayers also to Dwight Boeckman's family.

Make sure you take a moment today to be thankful that you are alive and breathing. To be able to see what you are seeing, smell what you are smelling, and hear what you are hearing.

Keep on Keepin on.

So a gorgeous young redhead goes into the doctor's office and says . . .

"My body hurts wherever I touch it!"
"Impossible!" says the doctor. "Show me."
The redhead takes her finger,
pushes on her left breast and screams,
then she pushes her elbow and screams in even more agony.
She pushes her knee and screams;
likewise she pushes her ankle and screams.
Everywhere she touches makes her scream.
The doctor says, "You're not really a redhead, are you?"
"Well, no" she says, "I'm actually a blonde."
"I thought so," the doctor says.
"Your finger is broken."

bu-dum-ping!
