What up in the OKC?!
The vacation was freakin bad ass. And yes . . . the rumors are true. I have asked the beautiful Dixie to marry me. Luckily she agreed to the proposal. It completely rock and rolls. Thanks to all of my friends for the congrats and the surprise welcome home party. I am so fuckin blessed, I can't hardly see straight. Powerful shit man. Thanks to the residual pixil for being our taxi, and thanks to craig for being my puppy's caretaker. I gots some good folks around me.

Well, it is definitely "back to the grindstone" here at work. The pressure is on. Lots of work coming in, but I got some cool designers that are really getting things done and getting it out the door to the printers. Fun times.

Hey, It's Pete from Jack Ingram's Band . . . .

So, the weekend was great. Jack put on an amazing show as always. I got some great shots, and so did Caroline . . . I'm sure Ragan did too. But Pete, the drummer called me today at work and gave me his info so I could get him a CD of all the pics and such. There are alot of cool ones.

Saturday, Caroline and I went ring hunting again. I gotta get an idea of what the lady likes! Then we went and visited my old friends Jonathan, Toni, and Dawn. I sure do like them, and we gotta find some time to hang with them some more. Then off to Chad and Beth's to visit Eric and Katie. Always nice to see them too.

All in all a great weekend. Except for my allergies killing me yesterday.
Damn allergies.

Now, this week, hopefully I will get a computer to work on here at work. I am tired of bothering someone to get on their computer to check my email and such. I really need it to get some things squared away before we leave on vacation Thursday night. Gonna be a blast camping with ma and pa in Boise. Then we will go downtown and do some things too.

Well, that is it.

So, what's up.
I was happy as I could be this morning. I don't know what was goin on . . but then, once I got to work, my shiney face was dulled a bit. The guy who was the Director here for 4 years passed away during the evening. He sounded like an amazing man. So, it was a bit gloomy around here today. But it always makes you realize just how short our lives are. Which in turn makes me wanna always be happy and have fun. Cause you could be dead tomorrow.

So, always be objective about your life . . . don't stress and strain too much about stuff. Stay positive and love your life. Don't take ANYTHING for granted. And Be happy that you are here to deal with any situation that you may encounter during your day. Whether it be bad or good, bottom line is that you are here and dealing with it.

I know that I love my life, my friends, my family, and everything that encompasses my being here today.

Now, get off work. Relax, go see some live music, and celebrate life!

Damn Allergies . .

Well, I freaking hate that I missed Stoney last night . . . I always dig the shit out of his shows, but my fuckin allergies grabbed me and put me down yesterday . . . started to feel really really shitty. But, luckily at about 3 or 4 this morning, I felt them let up and I could breathe through my nose again, and I could rollover with out it dripping down my face. . . Yummy.

I hate allergies . .
AND I think I took about 3 or 4 different kinds of stuff . . . Nothing worked at all . . . Nada.

Oh well, I'm glad they aren't bad today!
But now . . that my lady has to be a wedding photographer tonight, I am up in the air on the afternoon and evening plans.

What should I do?

Anxious to go to the Parkerson Corral tomorrow. Always a great time . . . barring no allergies creep up . . . but I will just sneeze sniffle and keep on drinking.

I do however have to be in Norman at 1 on Sunday to leave with the other Assistant Directors and the Senior Director to go down to Quartz Mountain for a PR seminar thing. Actually sounds pretty cool. Free everything . . including the bar.

Yeah, so whatever . . .
I have a pretty freaking killer job . . starting to get into the thick of things here. Setting up some appointments with different departments of different schools to determine exactly what they need for the up and coming year. Should be cool . . . and finally getting into the groove of things.

Anyway . . to go back in time for a second. My last day at USA . . . Usually they pass the hat and get some cash for ya, get you cards signed by everyone and have cake and ice cream to send you off . . . well, they did that . .. but instead of giving me cash, they stepped it up and got me a surprise. I had to wait until 5 oclock, but I was stumped. I should've remembered that when they asked me what I wanted on my last day . . . I said BEER. Well, my friends, they got it . . . we all went up front in the Deli or "Bedlam Cafe" and they had troughs of about 6 different kinds of beer, and everyone just drank beer and chatted. It was bad ass. I do miss seeing them already. I will go and check in on them from time to time. But anyway, it was a great way to end my four years there. Even Chris had a beer with me.

Anyway, I say that, because I am going to go pick up my paycheck and take it to the bank. I hope they did me good. ;-)

Well, have a great one, and I will be seeing whoever is at the dog tomorrow for Stoney.

The Last Day . . .

So, today marks the end of 4 years at my "first job out of college". Good times, Bad times, Happiness, Aggrevation, but always Great People. I really am going to miss the folks that I have come to know over the years. I have learned a ton here, and now look forward to learning a ton more at a new place.

It will be a fun day . . kinda sad, really happy, and very excited for what's to come.

I was on time for my last day . . and as soon as I walked in, I got a present . . . .

I will miss some things about this place . . and mainly the people who have been with me through some very hard times in my life. THAT is what I will miss.

When all of my laundry got stolen . . . they gathered 150 bucks to give me . . . When I was playing all the time, they could the passion for music, but they could also see what it was doing to me physically . . . then finally . . . my "trouble with the law" about 2 and a half years ago. They were so understanding and helped me through many things.

So . . . after work . . . I will for sure raise my beer and have a toast to all the people who have helped me, taught me, and directed me in this chapter of my life. you guys rule.

If this coat hanger would just be a little more stiff. . .

Awww . . . we've messed with it long enough . . . Let's call in the calvary. I haven't freaking done that in a long damn time, because I have a spare key in my billfold . . . But I took my wallet out of my swim trunks because I didn't it to get wet . . . well, and the habit of locking my car automatically . . . took over. . . I get ready to leave, and see that it is locked.

Enter a coat hanger, and some finger nail clippers for a wedge. We almost could pull up on the lock . . . we could almost pull out on the handle . . . and our closest try was pushing up on the automatic lock switch . . . . everything we tried . . . . almost worked.

out $35, but it sure made for an entertaining evening.

by the way . . . people laugh at me for carrying finger nail clippers with me, but they can be like a swiss army knife. . . . I mean a swiss army knife couldn't act as a wedge.

This weekend Ruled, and Next is gonna be better!

So, I got to see 2 of my favorites . . . The magnificent MMB with Tom Skinner in tow on bass . . which ruled, as always. And then to the Stragglers at the Tumbleweed on Saturday. I have to say that it was the best show that I have seen them do. They are kicking complete ass, and Monty is running a good show. Well, you know . . having everything taken care of and etc.
I definitely enjoyed myself. Thanks to the guys.
AND
I got to eat at Shortcakes Diner in Stillwater . . . finally . . again after about 4 years. And they sure didn't let me down.

Sunday was kinda packed full of birthday parties, luncheons, and then a nice evening watching movies with my lovely lady.

It ruled.
and now, I hear that my brother and sister-in-law will be here this weekend. So, that is a bonus I didn't plan on.

3 more days of this lovely job, then Friday will be my first day at my new one. So, I will have 1 day under my belt . . then get to visit with my family . . see a few killer shows via the Red Dirt Music Fest . . and have an extra day of rest and/or party. I mean it is Independence day.

Nice. I am looking forward to it.
And I am actually finishing my days out as a designer amazingly enough. The artists are kinda slammed, so I am taking some of their jobs off of them. It is killer just to sit and design. I forgot what it was like.
